10.88 lakh families provided additional ration under MMSFES in Kashmir

Srinagar,  Apart from providing five kg ration per person under National Food Security Act (NFSA), over 10.88 lakh families are provided additional ration under Mufti Mohammad Syed Food Entitlement Scheme (MMSFES) in Kashmir valley.
Officials here today said that the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) provides ration to 68.10 lakh people in Kashmir Division under the NFSA, which includes 1,55,500 Antyodaya Anna Yojna (AAY) RTs, 8,58,361 AAY people, 33,48,196 Priority Households (PHH) and 26,03,558 Non-Priority Households (NPHH).
They said that among PHHs, 5 kilograms of rice per head is provided by the department, which is regardless of strength of the family.
