Kashmir Editors Guild expresses concern over detention of Kamran Yousuf by NIA

Srinagar, Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) has expressed serious concern over the continuous detention of journalist Kamran Yusuf.

In a statement issued here, a KEG spokesman said that the NIA has arrested Kamran Yusuf without spelling out the reasons and that doesn’t gel with the set legal norms prevalent in any democratic setup.

KEG has asked the authorities to release the photographer immediately and has appreciated different media organisations that have expressed concern over the arrest.

Kamran Yousuf is a Pulwama based photo and video journalist who contributed for Greater Kashmir and Gulistan News.
