CM strolls ‘Fitness Walk’, sets a new Friday trend

Srinagar, The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council on Friday organized a ‘Fitness Walk’ that was attended by hundreds of students, civil society members, and businessmen.

The ‘Fitness Walk’ was started by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti from her Gupkar residence to the Shankaracharya hills at 6 am today.

The motive behind the walk is to aware the people about the importance of being fit and inculcate in them the values of good health, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, Secretary sports council told KNS.

The idea was institutionalized by sports council and it witnessed a participation of more than 700 participants.

Para said that the ‘Walk’ would be held routinely on weekly basis and it would be open for all to join them on Friday’s.
